The Buick Open is a golf tournament, which makes part of the PGA Tour (the Professional Golfers Association). The golf matches are usually played at Warwick Hills Golf Country Club, which is situated in Grand Blanc, Michigan. The Buick Open is usually held after the Open Championship and before the PGA Championship. Many famous golf players regard this tournament as warming-up between the major golf tournaments. Every single hole of the Warwick has something interesting. Probably the most interesting one is the 17th hole which is a par 3.

From the tee, the player must hit a middle iron to a green that subtly slopes toward the water hazard. Missing the green left is particularly bad, as the ball will tend to kick into the woods if it misses both of the bunkers. The stadium-style set up and the boisterous crowds on hand help make the Buick Open one of the most distinctive events on the PGA Tour.

Woods shot a 3-under 69 and coasted to a three-shot victory with a 20-under 268 total at Warwick Hills, which hosted its first Buick Open in 1958 and seemed to stage its final one Sunday.
