2012 London Summer Olympics
The 2012 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad, are an international
multi-sport event, that will be held in London, England from July 27 to August 12, 2012.
This will be the third time England is host of the Olympic Games (1908, 1948).
Over 13,000 athletes are expected
to compete in nearly 400 events in 33 sports.
First, Second and Third places will be rewarded after every single event with a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal. |

2012 Olympics will take place mostly in the Olympic Park, a sports venue built to held Summer Games 2012, in the East of London.
The complex contains six different sports venues, and also a 40 floor tower to host Atheltes during the competition. After olympics games are completed the tower will become residential apartments and the venues will be used by local teams.

Although troubles in London, everything has been peformed as scheduled. As example of it, on May 10 the torch was lit in Olympia, Greece (Where the ancient Olympic Games use to take place), and also back on May 17 2012 the torch was handed to the organizers of Summer Olympics: event held in Athens.

From that point forward the flame will relay around brithist isles until it can reach the Olympic Stadium; where Summer Olympics will officially begin on July, 27.
Also in an event held in London back on July, 2011, the Olympic Medals were shown; this ones are the biggest medals up to date in Olympic Games with a diameter of 85mm and a weight of 400g.
