The UFC 107 main event will feature UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn defending his title against number one contender Diego Sanchez. B.J. Penn hasn't lost in this weight class in years, and Diego Sanchez has looked unstoppable in his lightweight fights. When these two meet in the center of the Octagon, get ready to witness two of the best grapplers and dangerous strikers in the 155 pounds division.

Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir

UFC 107 will also feature a heavyweight fight between former heavyweight champion Frank Mir (12-4) and Cheick Kongo (14-5-1). Mir and Kongo are both coming off tough losses. Mir suffered a TKO stoppage at the hands of Brock Lesnar at UFC 100 and Kongo dropped a unanimous decision to Cain Velasquez at UFC 99. Kongo hits hard, but if Mir can get this one to the mat, his massive jiu-jitsu advantage could decide the fight. No matter what happens, both guys have a lot to lose in this one.

Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida

Another exciting match up will be the Lightweight bout between Kenny Florian and Clay Guida that will also take place on the main card of UFC 107. Kenny Florian (11-4) is coming off of a loss to BJ Penn at UFC 101 by submission (rear naked choke) where he once again came up short in a fight for the Lightweight title. Before the loss to Penn at UFC 106 Florian peeled off 6 straight wins.

Clay Guida (25-10) is also coming off of a (split) decision loss at The Ultimate Fighter season 9 finale to Diego Sanchez. The fight was a candidate for fight of the year and produced one of the best rounds in MMA history.
