The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced three big bouts for the final card of 2008 at UFC 92 on Dec. 27 at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Two titles will be on the line as Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans will fight for the light heavyweight championship and Frank Mir meets interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. A grudge match between MMA legend Wanderlei Silva and former light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson completes the stacked event.

Imagine the buzz of anticipation for a Rampage/Wanderlei fight. On the same night as Forrest Griffin defends his title for the first time against Rashad Evans and Antonio Nogueira (31-4-1) will face off with Frank Mir (11-3-0). Now you can
bet on the most immense night of MMA action in history on December 27, at UFC 92.

Quinton Jackson vs Wanderlei Silva in an epic light heavyweight battle. This should end up being the fight of the night. These two have fought twice before, with Wanderlei Silva winning both fights (once at PRIDE - Final Conflict 2003 and once at PRIDE 28 - High Octane). The winner of this fight will likely go on to face the winner of the Rashad Evans - Forrest Griffin tilt for the light heavyweight championship. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is looking to rebound from losing his light heavyweight title to Forrest Griffin inhis last fight.

Jackson, who faces two felony (and four misdemeanor) charges stemming from a July hit-and-run and subsequent police chase in California, will return to competition for the first time since the bizarre incident and his recent split with longtime trainer and friend Juanito Ibarra. Under Ibarra's guidance, Jackson had won six consecutive fights, which included a first-round TKO of then-champ Chuck Liddell in May 2007, before his May title loss to Forrest Griffin.

Jackson, who recently pleaded not guilty to the charges, is currently scheduled for a Nov. 3 court date at which time he'll learn whether or not he'll go to trial due to his recent arrest. Can Silva make it three in a row against Jackson, or will Jackson fight his way back into the light heavyweight title picture?

Antonio Nogueira v Frank Mir- The Winner gets the battle for the right to take on the winner of Randy Couture v Brock Lesnar to be crowned undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

Former champion Mir has already beaten Lesnar, now he gets a crack at the interim title holder Nogueira – who just also happens to be his rival coach in series eight of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

For Frank Mir (11-3-0), the fight is the penultimate step on the road to reclinksing his title, having been stripped of it after a serious motorcycle accident that sidelined him for well links a year.

Top middleweight contender Yushin Okami (21-4-1) will return to action against Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Dean Lister (11-5) at UFC 92 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on December 27.

Yushin Okami is on a two-fight win streak since the defeat and most recently scored a knockout of the late Evan Tanner at UFC 82: “Pride of a Champion” back in March.

Dean Lister is the 2003 Abu Dhabu Combat Club (ADCC) Absolute Division Champion and is also, in the midst of back-to-back wins, submitting the crafty Jeremy Horn with a guillotine choke at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 Finale back in June.

UFC 92 will be shown live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. EST/7 p.m. PST on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV, DISH Network, TVN, Bell ExpressVu, Shaw Communications and Viewer’s Choice Canada.
