The tournament's current home is TPC Louisiana, one of the PGA Tour-owned TPC courses. The Zurich Classic moved to TPC Louisiana in 2005, but the event was forced off the course in 2006 due to damage from Hurricane Katrina. It returned in 2007.
Situated on 250 acres across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, TPC Louisiana was designed by a man who knows how to turn a site with limited topography into a beautiful and compelling test of golf. Pete Dye, who created the flagship layout for the PGA TOUR, TPC Sawgrass, was called on again for another challenge. TPC Louisiana is now host of the PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The 2010 Zurich Classic will continue to be played at TPC Louisiana, which has just undergone $3 million worth of course enhancements. The Zurich Classic is the final week to earn a spot at Augusta National Championship. Zurich Classic dates already are set for 2010, which are as follows: April 22 - 25 2010.
After a two-year intermission forced by Hurricane Katrina, The newly re-opened TPC Louisiana is one of only 24 TPC courses in the world. And it’s as unique as Louisiana itself. Reflecting the local habitat, stately cypress and oak trees dot the landscape. Its stadium-style design puts you close to action at every hole.
