Monday Night Football
Many NFL betting players look at the Monday night game as the last opportunity to get even with their bookie for the entire NFL betting week losses or really try double up on their bookie. If NFL betting didn’t go well on Saturday and Sunday, then the Monday night game offers NFL betting gamblers a last chance to get even or perhaps even make money for the week.
Monday Night Football has become to many NFL bettors, the game of the week, because it is nationally televised at a time when it is the only football game on the betting board. That exclusive prime time spot on TV has made Monday Night Football something special for many years.
Monday Night Football (MNF) is a live television broadcast of the National Football League. Originally airing on the ABC network from 1970 to 2005, Monday Night Football was the second longest running prime time show on American broadcast network television (after CBS' 60 Minutes) and one of the highest-rated, particularly among male viewers. ABC aired a total of 555 Monday night games. Monday Night Football moved to the ESPN cable network in 2006, ending a 36-year run on ABC.
A Monday Night Football fact, is that there have been occasions when two Monday night games were played simultaneously; this scenario would most commonly happen in October where an NFL team's home stadium is also used by the same city's baseball team, and the latter had reached the playoffs or World Series, forcing what was to have been a Sunday afternoon NFL Football Betting game to be moved to Monday night; in these cases, the game so moved would be televised only in the market of the game's visiting team (and also in that of the home team provided the game sold out), with the rest of the nation's viewers watching the originally-scheduled Monday night game for that week.
