In an effort to simulate a 'real money' experience for our players, Island Casino has introduced an element of risk to the play money tables. Play money players will have to 'earn' their way up to higher limits just like real money players. By putting a value on the chips, players must utilize a more realistic style of playing poker if they wish to accumulate chips and join the 'pros' at the higher limits. This will help prevent play money games from becoming meaningless as players raise or call without fear because they having nothing at stake. Now there is an incentive to play solid poker and build a bankroll.
The 'real money' style of Island Casino's play money tables will enable players to pick up tips and learn basic strategies in anticipation of moving up into real money games.
Once a player feels comfortable with the software and action of online poker and has practiced at Island Casino's play money tables and tournaments, they may graduate to real money tables by clicking on the cashier function and depositing money in their Island Casino account.
Island Casino offers micro limit games as a great way for new players to make the move from play money tables to real money tables. For a small buy-in, players can enjoy real money action at tables with stakes as low as $0.05/$0.10 to get a sense of what poker is truly like. The transition will be painless and profitable for those players who have worked hard on Island Casino's play money tables!
