The final three days of the NBA regular season finish up on the 11th. My first NBA Free Pick for the final 3 days starts on Tuesday, April 10. Will Charlotte take down Indiana on the road? Also on Tuesday, Boston battles Washington. Who wins when the Celtics battle the Wizards? The final game I like this week has Milwaukee traveling to Philadelphia. Can the Bucks beat the hot 76’ers?
NBA Free Picks April 9-15
Charlotte at Indiana
When: Tuesday, April 10 at 7:00 pm ET
Where: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN
Analysis: Charlotte heads to Indiana to battle the Pacers in a game between one team that has secured a playoff spot, Indiana, and a team that’s staying home for the playoffs, Charlotte. The last time Charlotte threw down with Indiana the Pacers beat the Hornets 133 to 126.
Technically, the Pacers could catch the Cavaliers for the 4-seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. They must continue to win to do so. Will that happen? It’s not likely. The Pacers will face Cleveland in Round 1 no matter what.
Resting players will be more important than grabbing the 4-seed over the Cavs. This game sets up for a big Charlotte win.
Boston at Washington
When: Tuesday, April 10 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Capital One Arena, Washington, D.C.
Analysis: Boston battles Washington on Tuesday in a game between two of the better teams in the Eastern Conference. Boston has some issues because Kyrie Irving is out for the entire playoffs.
In this game, that might work to their benefit. The Celtics can’t take the chance of getting a key player hurt. That’s true, but they also can’t take the chance of allowing any chemistry that they’ve built without Kyrie on the bench to fade away.
That’s the same thing with John Wall and the Washington Wizards. Wall must develop more chemistry with the Wizards if they expect to get out of Round 1 during the playoffs. The Harry Potters rested Wall this past Friday.
He should be ready to go on Tuesday. I like Washington.
Milwaukee at Philadelphia
When: Wednesday, April 11 at 8:00 pm ET
Where: Wells Fargo Center-PA, Philadelphia, PA
Analysis: On Wednesday, one of ESPN’s games has the Milwaukee Bucks battling the Philadelphia 76’ers at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly. The 76’ers could end up as the third, fourth, or fifth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
Beating the Bucks on Wednesday is what could determine what seed the 76’ers end up as. That’s not good news for Milwaukee even though the Bucks beat the 76’ers 118 to 110 the last time the two teams faced each other.
I believe the 76’ers do enough to cover the spread in Wednesday’s battle.
